Journal Title: Мова - Year 2015, Vol 0, Issue 23
Abstract
The article deals with the new semantic meanings with processual value in the Russian and Bulgarian languages, developed on the basis of metaphorization, identifies new values in both languages, emerged from the metaphorical model ‘action → action’ and examines their activity in the “Po litics, society, social relations” thematic area. The article traces similarities in the process of development of the secondary meanings within lexical units in Russian and Bulgarian with equivalent prime values and differences. It is determined that the development processes of matching and similar secondary meanings in both languages are more intensive than the process of independent development of secondary values in each of the languages.
