NOMINATIONS OF SEASONS IN THE COMPOSITION OF THE LEXICALSEMANTIC AND ASSOCIATIVE FIELD “TIME” (ON THE MATERIAL OF MICHAEL STELMACH’S AUTOBIOGRAPHIC STORY “SHCHEDRYI VECHIR”)

Abstract
The article deals with the peculiarities of the author’s expression of time concepts including the names of seasons, the interrelation of lexical and lexical-syntactic units with the value of time segments – period of the year with the contextual elements of the temporal field, which form the associative composition of artistic means used in the story. Formulation of the problem. The lexico-semantic field is one of the main issues studied by modern linguists. As part of the lexical-semantic and associative field of temporality of M. Stelmakh’s language, seasonal nominations and their semantic shades occupy a significant place. This research was conducted on the basis of lexical and lexical-syntactic connections of the autobiographical novel by M. Stelmakh «Shchedry Vechir», which are called or described during the seasons. The aim is: to identify and analyze the features of the lexical-semantic field of temporality on the designation of seasonal time segments. The above goal requires solving the following tasks: to analyze lexemes and syntaxes that are important for the seasons and constitute a lexical-semantic and associative field; to characterize the temporal nominations in the composition of artistic means of the M. Stelmakh’s language.
