Abstract
Deep tissue massage is a form of massage that is more and more commonly used nowadays. The purpose of this form of soft tissue therapy is to treat disorders in the musculoskeletal system by relaxing a patient’s tissues, improving their mobility and relieving existing restrictions in the most effective and ergonomic way. The aim of the study has been to evaluate the effect of deep tissue massage of the triceps surae on the improvement of functional parameters in football players. During the study, a baropodometric mat and the FreeStep computer programme were used.
