Abstract
The paper presents the research of theoretical, methodical and practical problems of forming and efficiency using of machines and tractor fleet in Zhytomyr region. The essence of the machines and tractor fleet is defining. We proved that one of the urgent problems of the domestic agricultural sector is technical support for farmers. Found that the current state tractor fleet of agricultural enterprises does not meet their technological needs, which adversely affects the development of the agricultural sector. The rate of disposal of agricultural machinery from the tractor fleet upgrade ahead of them and as a result, the total number of means decreasing every year. Proved that farms provide technical facilities far from the level that would enable them to function effectively in a competitive environment.
