Peculiarities of Formation of the Worldview of Karl Rau

Abstract
In the presented article the initial stage of personal development of the future economist, scientist and politician K. Rau is investigated. The article analyzes factors that have had a significant impact on his future socio-economic preferences. Attention is paid to the personality of his father I. Rau, who received a good education, studying in the walls of the University of Göttingen. I. Rau had an opportunity to attend courses of brilliant teachers of this university thus received profound knowledge in the field of philology, literature, and art. He managed to convey this rich cultural heritage to his students and his children. His own system of education formed a solid foundation for K. Rau’s enlightening worldview. The academic atmosphere, which was surrounding K. Rau from his early childhood formed important life landmarks and preferences of the future scientist.
