PECULIARITIES OF SPREAD AND PROBLEMS OF THE LEGALIZATION OF CRYPTOCURRENCIES IN THE WORLD AND IN UKRAINE

Abstract
The prerequisites for the development, the main problems of functioning, risks, and prospects of the legalization of the cryptocurrency market in Ukraine are investigated. Foreign experience shows that the most optimal in respect of the “grey” market is the neutrality position, which is reduced to repeated warnings to market participants and potential investors, explanatory work in the information space, but does not imply the official prohibition of transactions with cryptocurrencies. This position will allow, on the one hand, monitoring and studying a fundamentally new market for Ukraine, while avoiding the material and moral responsibility of the state for speculative actions and the likely losses of market participants when it is legalized.
