PHILOSOPHICAL AND IDEOLOGICAL BASIS OF LIFE-CREATION PEDAGOGY

Abstract

Based on the history of philosophical thought review, using the method of retrospective analysis it is revealed that the phenomenon of personal life-creation has always been at the epicenter of the leading philosophers’ ideological reflections in different epochs. The philosophical foundation of life-creation pedagogy make up the ideas about selfknowledge, self-creation and philosophical activity of the person (Socrates, Plato, Aristotle), about harmonious and balanced self-activity (Epicurus), about the desire of the individual to build a decent life, not a simple existence (Seneca), about cultivation of humanistic virtues and spiritual selfdevelopment of man (medieval philosophers), about freedom and responsibility of the individual (Pico della Mirandola), about the person’s status as a subject of life (R. Descartes, I. Kant, G. Skovoroda, J. Fichte, G. Hegel), about the understanding of life as a certain holistic reality that is developing dynamically and is known as a unity of biological, cosmological and civilizational dimensions, not only objectively but also subjectively (H. Bergson, W. Dilthey, G. Simmel, F. Nietzsche, A. Schweitzer, A. Schopenhauer), about the uniqueness of the individual’s existence, its freedom and responsibility for his own life, the ability for self-creation and designing future (N. Berdyaev, M. Buber, A. Camus, S. Kierkegaard, G. Marcel, M. Merleau-Ponty, J. Ortega y Gasset, J.-P. Sartre, M. Heidegger, K. Jaspers), about approximation of education to life, its crucial role as a major factor of a personal life-creation (M. de Montaigne, Ch. Peirce, W. James, J. Dewey, G. Mead, R. Rorty, O. Dzhura), about exceptional importance of the personal life-creation in the modern social and cultural reality, and at the time of global transformation processes (L. Sokhan, I.Stepanenko, N. Stepanenko).
