PHILOSOPHY, METHODOLOGY AND REAL PRACTICE IN SCHOOL PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Abstract

In the fi eld of physi cal cul tu re, physi cal edu ca tion and sports as phi lo sop hic qu e sti ons can be de ter mi ned: “Sho uld you de vo te your self to one of the physi cal pro fes si ons when so ci ety se ems to va lue the men tal ac ti vi ti es mo re highly? What ro le sho uld mo ve ment play in hu man exi sten ce? How im por tant is winning? Sho uld bi o lo gi cal he alth be the ul ti ma te goal of physi cal edu ca tion? Sho uld young chil dren be pla ced in high-in ten sity at hle tic en vi ron ments? What ro le sho uld mo ve ment play among ol der adults who now fi nd it dif fi cult, even pa in ful, to mo ve much at all?”(R. S. Kretchmar, 1994, p. 5). Phi lo sop hic know led ge as a bac kgro und of all ot her sci en ces is bo un dless. In our oc ca sion we pay at ten tion to the al ways pur sued ten den ci es for fre e dom, et hics, and esthe tics in the di ver sity of ide as and ten den ci es in physi cal edu ca tion. The se ten den ci es depend on lo cal cul tu ral tra di ti ons. But all they ha ve the ir met ho do logy. Sci en ti fi c fi n dings ha ve not only su bject but met ho do lo gi cal con tent as well. Dif fe rent met ho do lo gi cal content can lead to dif fe ren ces in the used term ap pa ra tus and the cri ti cal in ter pre ta tion of gi ven da ta. So, task of sci en tists is to de ve lop met ho do lo gi cal know led ge as well. Typi cal met ho do lo gi cal pro blems for ela bo ra tion of sci en tists are: 1) Sta ges of sci en ti fi c know led ge and the ir de scrip tion thro ugh analysis. 2) Analysis of the used lan gu a ge and terms. 3) Con ti nu ity of sin gle pro ce du res and met hods, the ir ex pla na ti on and pro of through ex pe ri ment. 4) Analysis of the ex plo red prin ci ples, ap pro ac hes, and con cep ti ons by re duc tion, ele men ta ri ness, syste ma tic ap pro ach, etc. Prac ti cally the pa per is di rec ted to the prin ci ples of de sig ning PE con tent in the na ti o nal cur ri cu lum in so me co un tri es and the at ti tu des among su bjects du ring edu cation as well.
