Abstract
On the basis of the analysis of a number of scientific articles and the Law of Ukraine «On Education», practical experience has identified some prospective directions of improvement of professional training of pedagogical workers in Ukraine in accordance with requirements modernity and orientations on the European educational space from the point of view of a competent approach.
