QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS - THE CASE OF ROMANIAN LOCAL PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS

Journal Title: MANAGERIAL CHALLENGES OF THE CONTEMPORARY SOCIETY - Year 2017, Vol 2, Issue 10

Abstract

On the one hand, the research analyzes the level of quality management systems implementation among the public institutions and the main theoretical models used, on the other hand, the research highlights the main obstacles faced by local public institutions in the implementation of quality management systems (QMS), as well as the main reasons why certain local institutions in Romania have not implemented such systems. Last but not least, the research analyzes the opinion of public institutions on the main measures taken to stimulate and increase the interest of local public institutions in the implementation of quality management systems (QMS). The conclusions of the research highlight the fact that the level of implementation of quality management systems among local public institutions in Romania is extremely low; the main reason for this is the lack of access to QMS and information regarding the instruments needed for an accurate implementation.
