Religion And Religion Education’s Assistance to Children In Childhood Period

Abstract
It is well-known reality that human beings need spiritual needs such as loving, trusting, adhering and believing like basic needs such as eating, drinking, sleeping or resting. That a person’s mental wellness to be well-balanced characters or personality is as important as his basic needs to maintain his physical health in his all life. Because, whether how a person is physically well, if he doesn’t have a well-balanced characters or personality, it is impossible that the person will be happy to all his life, will be positive or will cope with the problems that he faces. In this article, we have aimed to determine that the place of religions in pre-school children’s lives, how religious education should be taught to them, the contribution of religions to pre-school children’s cognitive, affective and psychosocial development and the effects on their characters or personalities.
