Rola discretio w życiu duchowym w świetle pism św. Grzegorza Wielkiego

Abstract
This article takes the issue of the role discretio in the spiritual life on the basis of work of Gregory the Great. In the first part of the article is described history of the understanding discretio by earlier authors, however in the fundamental part is described understanding this virtue by Gregory the Great. For him discretio it is above all a synonym of the deliberation. Virtue which lets distinguish the good from the evil, good thoughts than bad and to recognize the measure of all things.
