Rozwój szpitalnictwa i opieki społecznej w dekanacie węgrowskim w XVII i XVIII wieku

Abstract
The aim of the article is to present the processes of the genesis of the formation of the network of parish hospitals in the area of the deanery Węgrów, showing aspects related to their functioning and an attempt to compile factors affecting the development of these facilities. The work contains general characteristics of the deanery Węgrów. The article compiles data on funders and location of hospitals. Then an attempt was made to show the reasons for starting parish hospitals. The text also includes issues related to the duties of hospital residents, their numbers and conditions prevailing in the poorhouses. The article presents the methods of obtaining income by poor hospital residents.
