SELECTED ENZYMES ACTIVITY, OXYPURINES AND URIC ACID CONCENTRATION IN YOUNG FOOTBALL PLAYERS

Journal Title: Medycyna Sportowa - Year 2006, Vol 22, Issue 3

Abstract

Background. The purpose of this study was to determine the activity of two main enzymes responsible for ATP gaining in anaerobic conditions: lactic dehydrogenase, creatine kinase also the level of oxypurines, uric acid and other hipoxia markers were measured.Material and methods. 28, 13 years old boys, who trained football were studied. Participants were qualified into two groups accordingly to sport club in which they trained: Lech and Warta. Body mass, height and duration of training were comparable in both groups. Biochemical parameters were determine in venous blood using the diagnostic tests. The level of oxypurines was estimated by HPLC method, with l=240 nm.Results. It was stated that in Lech players the level of blood CK activity was higher and statistically significant. Values of other parameters were comparable in both groups.Conclusions. Estimation of actual training ability and determination of the enzyme activity in players allows to optimize physical training. On the ground of estimated results trainers should individually select the trainings' load for each player.
