Selected mechanical properties of lightened plywood

Abstract
Selected mechanical properties of lightened plywood. Contemporary modern furniture puts high demands on materials used in furniture production. The important indicator of the furniture quality is the weight of the furniture. That is the reason to use lightened materials such as lightened honeycomb boards or lightened chipboard. The aim of our work is to design a construction of lightened layered material based on plywood and experimental verification its mechanical properties. The monitored bending characteristics of lightened plywood were decreasing more significantly than the weight was decreasing.
