Abstract
У статті визначені основні причини розвитку старіння населення. Розглянуто сучасний стан даного процесу в Україні й акцентовано увагу на його нерівномірності у розрізі виду поселення і статі. Здійснена статистична оцінка перспектив старіння населення і визначені основні демографічні та соціально-економічні наслідки, що породжуються даним процесом.
