Structural transformation of the social sphere of the region in the information economy

Abstract
Annotation. Purpose. Characterized by changes in the social sphere of the region under the influence of informatization. Methodology of research. The objectives of the article implemented by using the following research methods: analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, concretization, abstraction, the method of historical and logical research. Findings. Theoretical and methodological basis of the research consisted of scientific works on the theory of information economics and scientific publications of domestic and foreign scientists. Informatization of the social sphere of the region is considered as a process of transformation of the socio-economic system under the influence of technological factors of the information economy in order to optimize its functioning, improve the quality of life of the population and the formation of information consciousness. Practical value. Influence of informatization on the economic side of the social sphere of the region was observed through the prism of general and individual actions of informatization on the structure of subjects and processes of the social sphere of the region. As a result, informatization allows to expand the boundaries of activity of the subjects of the social sphere of the region; transforms ownership relations and strengthens competition; contributes to the growth of production and the emergence of new services; modifies the underlying processes.
