STUDIES PERCEIVED QUALITY ON STUDENTS’ LOYALTY

Abstract

Increasingly more students are choosing to study abroad after higher education reform in Lithuania. As a result, an increasingly important factor in the institutions of higher education is a student loyalty. Loyalty is directly related to high school students the opportunity to attract new and retain existing ones. It is argued that students study perceived quality of higher education can be one of the factors affecting students’ loyalty. The problem of this paper – what is higher education students’ perceived studies quality impact to a students’ loyalty. The aim of this work is to establish and to evaluate the studies quality of Lithuanian’s higher education institutions impact to student loyalty. These tasks were put on purpose to reach the main aim: 1. To explore and summarize the higher education institutions’ studies quality impact to students’ loyalty and to create a theoretical model of higher education institutions’ studies quality impact to students’ loyalty by analyzing scientific literature. 2. To verify created model of higher education institutions’ studies quality impact to students’ loyalty empirically in Lithuania. The study aims to examine the following hypotheses: H1: Students 'perceived quality of education directly affects students’ perceived value. H2: Students 'perceived quality of education directly affects students’ satisfaction. H3: Students 'perceived quality of education directly affects students’ loyalty. H4: There are significant direct influences on students' perceived value and students’ satisfaction. H5: There are significant direct influences on students' perceived value and loyalty students. H6: There are significant direct influences between student satisfaction and student loyalty. The empirical study has done by scientific literature analysis and quantitative research methods. Empirical research results showed that all hypotheses were confirmed and theoretical impact was proved practically. Empirical research found that there is a strong positive relationship between the perceived quality of the study, the value of the study, students' satisfaction and loyalty. Regression analysis allowed investigating the causality of these relationships, and has shown that there is a statistically significant linear strong or very strong influence among variables. Quantitative study examined the existence of a strong positive significant relationship between high school institutions‘quality, value, satisfaction and loyalty factors. It was also found that there is a statistically significant linear and strong influence of variables. Recommended for higher education institutions to focus not only on current students, but the former because they also contribute to a high school loyalty. During high school study quality, value and satisfaction to try to make students loyal. Student loyalty is related to the continuation of education (master and doctorate) and supports it by recommending it to others, financial, allocating funds to higher education and cooperative.
