Study on the spatial layout and supply and demand matching of park green space in urban built-up area of Zhoukou City

Abstract
[Objective] This study aims to improve the scientific and rational layout of park green space in the built-up area of Zhoukou City. [Method] This paper takes the built-up area of Zhoukou City as the research object, adopts fractal theory and kernel density estimation method to analyse the spatial layout characteristics of urban park green space specifically, then obtains the spatial distribution characteristics of supply and demand according to the spatial vector data of park green space and population raster data, then uses the improved two-step moving search method to evaluate the accessibility of park green space and the matching of supply and demand, finally, further analyzed the causes of supply and demand differentiation through the clustering analysis of park accessibility, supply and demand. [Result] 1) The spatial layout of park green space in Zhoukou shows the characteristics of overall concentration and local dispersion, with park green space mainly concentrated on both sides of rivers, showing an overall distribution of two bands. There are significantly more park green spaces in the new urban areas than in the old urban areas. 2) The density of parkland in Zhoukou decreases from the centre of the built-up areas to the surrounding areas. 3) The degree of matching supply and demand of park green space in the built-up areas of Zhoukou City generally shows the spatial distribution characteristics of high in the northeast and low in the southwest, and the degree of matching supply and demand of park green space varies significantly in different areas. 4) Most of the old urban areas in the built-up area of Zhoukou City are located in areas with low supply and high demand and low accessibility, while most of the new urban areas are located in areas with medium-high supply, medium-low demand and medium-high accessibility. [Conclusion] According to the characteristics of park green space in different districts of Zhoukou City, the optimization suggestions and construction schemes were put forward, which provided scientific basis for the planning and layout of urban park green space and the construction of national ecological garden city.
