СУЧАСНИЙ КОНТЕКСТ ФОРМУВАННЯ АНГЛОМОВНОЇ ПРОФЕСІЙНОЇ КОМУНІКАТИВНОЇ КОМПЕТЕНТНОСТІ МАЙБУТНІХ ФАХІВЦІВ ФЛОТУ

Abstract
У статті характеризуються сучасні тенденції у сфері вищої морської освіти, втілювані у новій освітній моделі підготовки фахівців флоту. З позиції нових освітніх пріоритетів та міжнародних і національних стандартів розглядається процес іншомовної мовленнєвої професіоналізації. Методологічною основою процесу є проаналізована структура професійної діяльності майбутніх суднових механіків і електромеханіків. Досліджено специфіку спілкування на борту судна в контексті особливих умов праці моряків. Виокремлено фактори, що суттєво позначаються на динаміці міжособистісних стосунків і характері розвитку спілкування у машинному відділенні. Описано стадійність комунікації на судні з притаманними кожній стадії ризиками виникнення деформацій спілкування та комунікативних стресів. Провідними факторами впливу на формування англомовної професійної комунікативної компетентності майбутніх фахівців визнано соціально-психологічні умови їхньої майбутньої професійної діяльності. Випуск 25. 2016 76 in specialist training. The reform of higher maritime education is also aimed at human factor development to minimize a number of onboard emergencies and accidents at sea. Effective communication is widely recognized as one of the key factors of ship safety at sea and in port. Purpose. To specify fundamental approaches defining a new paradigm for future seafarers training in general and their Maritime English teaching in particular. To identify the distinctive features of engine room crew members’ communication under special working conditions. Methods. Studying scientific publications relevant to a new education paradigm implementation. Describing and making job profile diagram for engine room officers highlighting the communicative aspect of their activity. Results.Modernization of national maritime education reflects the key innovations of a global educational model. All the innovative trends (competencybased approach, content and language integrated learning, practice-oriented approach, experiential learning as well) facilitate in Maritime English communicative competency formation and recommended to be implemented into the teaching process. It is admitted that Maritime English is the best means of interdisciplinary integration. It is extremely favorable in coping with narrow specialization and settling the contradiction between actual knowledge and its failure in practice. Awareness of engine crew working and living environment as well as particulars of their professional and everyday interpersonal interaction contributes to the effective communication onboard maintaining a healthy psychological climate on the ship for a long voyage. Conclusion. Future seafarers are thought to be informed on the specific features of professional and everyday communication within international crew at the Maritime English lessons to promote their communicative competency.
