Abstract
The article deals with the research of the process of creating a system of management of spiritual educational institutions in the Russian Empire in the XVIII-th - early XX-th centuries. Transformations in the created management system were defined. The conclusion was made that the system of management of spiritual educational institutions has passed several stages of development, which differed in their characteristics.
