THE DETERMINANTS AFFECTING THE EXHIBITION OF ARCHITECTURAL RELICS IN A HISTORICAL BUILDINGS
Journal Title: Structure and Environment - Year 2017, Vol 0, Issue 3
Abstract
Archaeological reserves and museums accessible to the public have become the mainstream means of exhibiting underground architectural and archaeological relics. The reserves protecting the most precious relics related to the earliest history of Poland are usually located under religious buildings, which in the Middle Ages replaced yet earlier structures. The heritage buildings in Kraków, Gniezno and Płock are just three examples used here in order to illustrate the restoration and technical determinants affecting the development and use of the exhibitions of architectural and archaeological relics in a historical object.
