The effect of dividend payments in the economic value of companies listed in Tehran Stock Exchange

Abstract

The study examined the impact of dividend payments in the economic value of companies listed on the Stock Exchange in Tehran. According to research scientists of the world financial, economic value added can used as a basis for determining the purpose and value, invest in projects and programs, evaluation and performance measurement to determine the intellectual capital of the company, determine the amount of bonuses and ... to use. The Information Content of the economic added value and increase shareholder wealth to measure the stock performance of the company's dividend payments. In other words, the importance of proof of efficacy is a measure of the performance of the new look for value-oriented investors will be rewarded. The main research question is whether to pay dividends in industrial firms listed in the Tehran Stock Exchange has an impact on the economic value of these companies. Research is currently investigating the purpose and type a descriptive - correlation with the use of regression models the analysisfocused hypotheses. In this study, the population of listed companies in Tehran Stock Exchange is in between 86 to 90 on the list of companies that have stock. The sample removal method is systematic. Due to the restrictions imposed on 60 companies have chosen. The main hypothesis results show that pay dividends in industrial firms listed in the Tehran Stock Exchange has an impact on the economic value of these companies. Results hypothesis 1 show that pay dividends in industrial firms listed in the Tehran Stock Exchange has an effect on net profit. Assumptions about the effect of dividend payments on industrial companies listed in Tehran Stock Exchange on economic value of these companies is higher than the effect on net profit, will not be accepted.
