The Effects of Parents Approach on Teacher Performance

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effects of parents approach on primary school teachers and teachers’ perception. For this purpose, a questionnaire form consisting of personel data form, the measure of parents approaches and the measure of teacher performance was applied on 250 voluntary primary school teachers who work in the towns and villages of Afyonkarahisar Province. The data getting from quetionnaires were analised on computer programmes. Pearson Correlation Analyses was used to identify the correlation of parents approaches and teacher performance and Regression Analyses was used to determine the effects of parents approach on teacher performances. The results of the study showed that there was statistically positive relation between positive and informative parents approaches and teacher performance, yet, there was no relation between negative and offensive parents approaches and teacher performance. It is concluded that the positive and informative parents approaches has positive effects on teacher performance.
