The Effects of Simulation Based Applications on Blended Learning

Abstract

Especially for the courses including application based techniques besides theoretical content, the major constraining factors for educational activities are constructing, managing, maintaining the application fields, and physical infrastructure requirements for classes that relatively high capacity. In this context, it is possible to use simulated applications in blended learning method, either reducing time limits while doing applications for both teachers and students, or reducing infrastructural requirements for reinforcement of content. In this research, the simulation models were being prepared for content topics of “Basics of Information Technology”, then applied with a web based tutor method both synchrony and asynchrony. This method was used as educational software for drill and practice different from a measurement and evaluation instrument and the data derived from these applications were being expressed the performance levels.
