The influence of inflation on the protection of property rights in the context of European Court of Human Rights practice

Abstract
The article is devoted to the disclosure of the practice of the European Court of Human Rights in the field of protection of property rights from the effects of inflation. On the ground of analysis of the European Court of Human Rights judgments in the investigated area, it is concluded that the losses caused by inflation may under certain conditions constitute deprivation of property within the meaning of Article 1 of the First Protocol. Particular attention is paid to the issue of the influence of inflation on the exercise of property rights in private and public relations.
