The Plundering of Archbishop Luis Fernández de Córdova in 1625: the Principal Altarpiece of Guadalcázar Parish and the paintings of The Palace Archbishop of Seville

Abstract

Arguments between Archbishop Luis Fernández de Córdoba’s heirs, led us to a thorough inventory of all his belongings shelves at his residence in Sevilla, to form the spoliation. The details contained in allows us to provide new information about the altarpieces commissioned for cordovan churches, and gives us the opportunity to know how was the Archbishop’s Palace in Seville before its baroque reform.
