THE POSITION OF POLISH AGRARIAN ECONOMICS IN EUROPE IN THE LIGHT OF WORKS CONTRIBUTED TO THE EUROPEAN ASSOCIATION OF AGRICULTURAL ECONOMISTS CONGRESSES

Abstract
The Polish agrarian economists are involved in the work of the European Association of Agricultural Economists congresses from the very beginning of its convening. It is therefore important to examine the scientific position of Polish agricultural economists in that forum of economic farming ideas exchanging in Europe. The work shown the contribution of Polish agricultural economists to the past five congresses and on this basis the position of the Polish agricultural economics in Europe. In the paper it has been examined the intensity of papers lodge at conferences, their session and institutional structure, as well as a formal academic position of authors, measured by the frequency of chairing meetings. The position of Polish agricultural economics in Europe, seen through the prism of the analyzed congresses, do not correspond to the level of research conducted in the country and abroad. Therefore are needed some forms of activity to change this state of affairs.
