THE RESEARCH OF THE UKRAINIAN DIALECTS IN THE WORKS OF A. MOSCALENKO

Abstract
This article deals with the studying of the dialectal phenomenon by the prominent Ukrainian scientist A. Moskalenko. Analysis of the most solid Moskalenko’s research works in dialectology is given. Such Moskalenko’s research is of great importance for Ukrainian dialects of Odessa region, where you can discover the coexistence of different dialects: south-western and south-eastern. A. Moskalenko is author of the dialectal vocabulary of Odessa region (1958). The article presents a brief history of the creation of vocabulary, its specific. A. Moskalenko founded a dialectal school at Odessa University. The dialects in Ukrainian language of different years outlined and defined in works his colleagues and pupils S. Bevzenko, Y. Dzendzelivskyi, P. Hrythenko, T. Shevchenko and other.
