The results of experimental studies of the process of changing the technical condition of freight cars in operation

Abstract

The paper presents the results of experimental studies in the transition to a system of mainte-nance and repair on a technical condition with the use of visual-optical control of the boundary states of the units of freight wagons. Operational research on the existing system of maintenance and repair of freight wagons proved the influence of the human factor in the performance of maintenance of the low-sided cars. It is shown that the amount of maintenance carried out af-fects further operation of the low-sided cars (mileage without failures). Depending on the influ-ence of the human factor, the number of failures and the probability of failure-free operation in the recovery of the able-bodied condition of freight cars varies within 0 ... 38,6%. When applying visual-optical control of the boundary states of the units of the low-sided cars there is a reduction of the influence of the human factor on the technical condition during maintenance and repair. In addition, the complexity of work during such maintenance of low-sided cars is reduced when using visual-optical control of the boundary states of railway junction. During maintenance service by the observer or locksmith for the repair of freight wagons, the use of visual-optical control of the boundary states of railway junction reduces the ingestion of the human factor. The indicated dependence of the probability of failure of the low-sided cars to run for a sys-tem of maintenance and repair on a technical condition with the use of visual-optical control of the boundary states of railway junction showed that this probability is reduced to 35% under a pessimistic forecast, and up to 49% on the weighted average forecast compared with the proba-bility of failure for the existing system of maintenance and repair of freight cars.
