THE SHADOW ECONOMY AS AN ECONOMIC CATEGORY AND OBJECT EVALUATION

Abstract
The paper considers the existing scientific approaches to the formulation of the concept of nature and the structural elements of the shadow economy. These are different in content and purpose of the study definition of the shadow economy as an object of evaluation. Solved forms of shadow relations in the context of institutional sectors. Determining the nature and structure of the shadow economy by the authors with a focus on the structural elements subject to direct regulation by the state and is a reserve for economic growth. The features of methods for assessing the shadow sector in terms of their object of study. A list of methods for assessing the shadow economy, which in the aggregate (based on an integrated assessment) will make it possible to adequately assess the level of shadow. The article notes that the assessment scope and level of the shadow economy is a tool that allows to determine the effectiveness of government policy on legalization. The potential legalization of economy lies in the minimization of illegal (in the terminology of the authors) economic relations.
