THE STATE OF EUTROPHICATION AND PRINCIPLES OF THE PROGRAMME OF LIMITING NUTRIENTS INFLOW FROM MUNICIPAL SOURCES THE GULF OF GDANSK DRAINAGE AREA

Abstract
The eutrophication basic of the process of degradation of the Gulf of Gdansk is presented, and the effect of sources and the balance of nutrients in the sea area are described. The sewage and sewage treatment systems are outlined, as well as thefonnal, legal and technical status of the sewage treatment objects in the Gulf of Gdansk drainage area. The principles of the programme of limiting the inflow of nutrients are presented, with special attention given to works in the Puck Bay drainage area.
