THE SYSTEM AND IMPORTANCE OF FUNCTIONS OF JUVENILE VICTIMOLOGY

Abstract
The article defines the system of functions of juvenile victimology and establishes their social and theoreti- cal significance. The functions of juvenile victimology are divided into two groups. The first group are gen- eral functions that reveal the significance of this theory for society, and its role in scientific life. The second group of functions — special, characterizing the importance of juvenile victimology in the system of sciences on countering crime.
