The usage of the scrining algorithm SVBI-pro in practical neurology
Journal Title: Український неврологічний журнал - Year 2018, Vol 0, Issue 3
Abstract
As a result of the examination of 240 patients with verified diagnosis of spondylogenic vertebrobasilar insufficiency (sVBI), the usage of the screening algorithm was substantiated. This system provides decreasing of terms for diagnostics and volume of diagnostical procedures. The efficacy of screening algorithm on the base of examination of 136 healthy persons and 240 patients with sVBI (І stage — 104, ІІ stage — 76, ІІІ stage — 60 patients) was confirmed. On the base of the results of SVBI‑pro system, it has been revealed, that among 136 healthy people 7 people had the sVBI (the mistake of hyperdiagnostics is 5.1 %), among 240 patients with verified sVBI, 32 people were identified as a healthy persons by SVBI‑pro (the mistake of hypodiagnostics is 13.3 %). The data confirms the efficacy of the early diagnostic method and necessity of individual sVBI stage verification.
