THEORETICAL ASPECTS OF PRICE ELASTICITY OF DEMAND

Abstract
The article is devoted to research of theoretical aspects of demand elasticity. The importance of different types of the elasticity for participants of the market relations is specified. The price elasticity of the demand is characterized on the basis of different elasticity indices. The directions and perspectives of use of the index of elasticity in business management are suggested for maximizing the business profit and optimization of the sales amount.
