THEORETICAL BASES OF FORMATION OF COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES OF MILK PROCESSING ENTERPRISES

Abstract

Purpose. The aim of the article is the development theoretical, methodological provisions and practical recommendations for formation of the development and strengthening of the competitive advantages of dairy processing enterprises in the market. Methodology of the research. The modern general scientific and special methods of economic research are used in the article, in particular: a systematic approach − when studying the connections between phenomena and processes in the system of ensuring the competitiveness of enterprises; comparative − when comparing the level of competitiveness of enterprises; dialectical, abstract and logical − when conducting theoretical generalizations and drawing conclusions. Findings. It is established that the main directions of ensuring the competitive advantages of the enterprise are: concentration of resources of the enterprise to prevent the actions of competitors; keeping the initiative in competition; provision of resource potential for achievement of the set goals; the development of a flexible system of planning of the company’s activity in the market by substantiating an effective strategy of interaction with competitors. It has been determined that the entity must carry out continuous management of competitive advantages in order to ensure competitiveness at the required level. It is substantiated that management can be considered as a process of purposeful influence on any system in order to support it in a certain state or to transform it into a new one, taking into account its objective properties and regularities. Originality. The methodical approaches to assessing the competitive advantages of the dairy processing industry of enterprises are improved, which allows to determine the potential and real level of advantages of the enterprise and its products, taking into account the specifics of the local branch of market space, which will facilitate the development of sound management decisions regarding the improvement of the enterprise’s activities. Practical value. The obtained results of the research confirm that the main directions of ensuring the competitive advantages of the enterprise are: concentration of resources of the enterprise to prevent the actions of competitors; keeping the initiative in competition; provision of resource potential for achievement of the set goals; development of a flexible system of planning of the company’s activity in the market by substantiating an effective strategy of interaction with competitors.
