TO THE ORIGIN OF ANCIENT TOPONYMS OF THE LVIV DISTRICT

Abstract
The article that proposed continues there historical and etymological studies of the settlements names of the Lviv district. The aim of the study that proposed is a historical and etymological analysis such contemporary settlements names of the L’viv district as Артищів, Баличі, Бачів, Буськ, Дроговиж and Пониква, which stands out for its chronological and the word-building peculiarities. And the one of our tasks is to reveal reasons of the oiconyms becoming and the structural analysis of these ones as well. In the result of some L’viv district settlements names analysis we came to the conclusion that observable refion is the ancient peopling territory (according the historical fixations illustrating). On the matereal of documentalized historical fixations of the most of antient oiconyms there phonetical modifications of these ones are traced. The Ukrainian historical oiconymy study gives us a possibility not only to replenish sizeable onomatological groundworks in this problematic, but and to trace real linguistic onyms peculiarities-phonitical, lexical, word-building ones etc.
