Transformation of the electoral system of Ukraine: the search for the optimal model

Abstract
The role of elections in the process of democratic reforms in Ukraine has been defined. The basic stages of the electoral system transformation in our country have been analyzed. Based on the clarification of the significant shortcomings of each of the election system model, which have been used in the formation of the Ukrainian parliament, recommendations for changes in the electoral legislation of Ukraine have been provided.
