TREATMENT OF ECONOMIC CATEGORY OF MANUFACTURING POTENTIAL

Abstract
The article considers and analyzes the interpretation of the term "production potential". One of the most important part of a successful operation of an enterprise is the production potential. On the basis of the analysis of economic literature, a table was drawn up with the most common interpretations of production potential. A new interpretation of the "production potential" was proposed. The external and internal factors influencing the production potential are analyzed. The components that are part of the internal and external factors are presented. The components of production potential were considered. Conclusions are made on the basis of the conducted research.
