Abstract

The present research paper is devoted to the analysis of M.V. Gogol’s creative work in the context of the influence of Ukrainian culture. The purpose of the study is to define the specificity of the representation of Ukrainian mentality and folklore in Gogol’s Evenings on a Farm Near Dikanka. To achieve this purpose, the paper uses methods for obtaining the multidimensional information on the research subject. In particular, these include theoretical methods, namely the analysis of literary, artistic and methodological works on the research question.
