Urbanization processes in the world as an incentive for the sustainable development of tourism

Abstract
The purpose of the article is researching of the interrelationships and influence of urban processes, the urban environment, the growth of the urban population and the urban way of life on the functioning and development of the tourism industry and revealing the factors that cause them. Methodology of research. The solution of the tasks set in the article is carried out with the help of general scientific methods of research, namely: analysis, systematization and generalization. Findings. The level of urbanization is closely connected with the development of inbound and outbound tourism. However, urbanized regions have particular features of tourism development. Practical value. Urbanization has close interconnections with tourism activities. Firstly, residents of urban settlements usually have more free time and higher incomes and therefore have more opportunities to travel. Secondly, cities concentrate a large number of historical-cultural, cognitive, rich events resources and resources of business tourism (for example, Tokyo, New York, Rome, Paris, London, Athens, Madrid, etc.), that numerous tourists want to visit. Thirdly, the rural population move to cities that increase urban population. The number of tourists from cities of different sizes will only increase. This is caused by the desire not only to rest but also to get rid of city noise, high rhythm of life, possibly stress and depression.
