USE OF QUADRATURE PROPORTIONS IN THE PROCESS OF PLANNING CHURCHES IN THE RIGHT-BANK UKRAINE

Abstract
Examples of proportional division of Ukrainian sacred memorials (churches of the late XV - first half of the XVI centuries) came under review in this paper. Theoretical considerations of craftsmen on proportions in architectonic art are presented together with examples of their practical implementation. The wide range factual materials shows how Ukrainian art developed in a single cultural space with European art. In the process of analysis of existing architectural structures, we determine their relationship in terms of proportional ratios. In addition, in this paper we analyze the reasons, the main aspects revealing the basic concepts of proportioning. The subject of the study is the architectural structures of the Right-Bank Ukraine, the nature of their formation on the basis of quadrature proportions. The study describes the main criteria that subordinate and justify the relationship of the quadrature proportion as a single proportion in the era of the Ukrainian Baroque and in subsequent years.
