Journal Title: Journal of Special Education and Rehabilitation - Year 1997, Vol 1, Issue 1

Abstract

Verbotonal system demands for special, integral view to functional happening in the brain, to damage impact and to the rehabilitation of brain lesion impaired person. This integral view determines the complex. early, optimal and intensive rehabilitation. This is done by the engagement of the whole brain, by the correction of all dysfunction's and by making it possible for cerebral functioning to have more intact synchrony. Speech is human general capability that defines and characterizes thinking itself, it is the highest intellectual work. As it is the result of the complete brain activity, the rehabilitation involves all evident dysfunction's. Because of integrality, associatively of development and rehabilitation and physical rehabilitation (sometimes only as accompanying and sometimes as predominant) are involved. Verbotonal procedures, as distinguished from pure physiotherapy, are done in the sense of using hands, legs and the whole body for work and keeping psychophisical processing healthy and rhythmical.
