Abstract
The article deals with the peculiarities of responsibility by a mortgage agreement for a land plot. The current national legislation and scientific research on the chosen problem are analyzed. In the context of studying the legal nature of responsibility for non-fulfillment or improper performance of the land mortgage contract, a thorough analysis and conclusions with theoretical and practical significance have been conducted.
