Wykorzystanie mocznika i jego pochodnych w przemyśle kosmetycznym

Abstract
Jedną z najskuteczniejszych substancji nawilżających stosowanych w kosmetyce jest mocznik. Jest on składnikiem naturalnego składnika nawilżającego (NMF), obecnego w keratynocytach [1], który odpowiada za nawodnienie warstwy rogowej naskórka. Działanie kosmetyczne mocznika zależy od jego stężenia. W małych stężeniach mocznik wykazuje pośrednie działanie nawilżające, natomiast w większych stężeniach działa keratolitycznie [2]. W zależności od potrzeb skóry, wykorzystuje się go w produkcji kremów, maści, maseczek, toników, peelingów i balsamów. W kosmetyce znalazły także zastosowanie pochodne mocznika – przyspieszająca regenerację naskórka allantoina, oraz diazolidynylomocznik i imidazolidynylomocznik – popularne konserwanty kosmetyczne [3, 9].
