Abstract
Dando continuidade ao Projeto “Fontes para o estudo da História do Rio Grande do Sul no acervo da Biblioteca Rio-Grandenseâ€, realiza-se neste trabalho um levantamento documental junto de uma das importantes “coleções†existentes no inestimável acervo daquela instituição cultural – o Arquivo José Arthur Montenegro, correspondendo a um segmento do material coletado por esse historiador, cujo foco de interesse concentrouse na Guerra do Paraguai, estabelecendo-se um arrolamento parcial do material iconográfico e de alguns documentos avulsos presentes no dito arquivo.
