COMPETENCE OF UKRA INE PROSECUTION BODIES AS THE BASIS OF ITS CONSTITUTIONAL AND LEGAL STATUS

Abstract
The article deals with important theoretical issues of the competence of the prosecutor’s office as the basis of its constitutional and legal status. The emphasis is on models of the prosecutor’s office, the main difference of which is the function. It is indicated that the term "powers" is often associated with the term "competence", since in science of constitutional law competence is disclosed as a set of powers. The conclusion is drawn on the need to remove the powers of the prosecutor’s offices, which are closely linked with the observance of laws (for example, the representation of the interests of a citizen or state in court), and these powers are transferred to the institution of legal representation – the bar.
