The formation of professional communicative competence intends that at the end of the course, students will be able to communicate effectively in English in a professional environment, that is to know language at the level not below B 2 (Independent user). Students should be able: to discuss learning and professional topics, in order to reach an understanding with the partner; to prepare public speech for a great number of sectoral questions, using appropriate means of verbal communication and adequate forms of conducting discussions and debates; to find a new text, graphic, audio- and video- information which contains in English-speaking branch materials (both in print and in electronic form), using appropriate search methods and terminology; to analyze the English-language sources of information to obtain data required to accomplish professional tasks and taking professional decisions; to create professional texts and documents in English for a number of branch problems; to make business and especially professional letters, showing cross-cultural understanding and the previous knowledge in a specific professional context; to translate English-language professional texts into native language, using bilingual dictionaries of economic terms, electronic dictionaries and the software of the translation direction.
