“Departure” Name Analiysis of Abidin Elderoglu’s Turkish War of Independece Themed Paintings

Abstract
The Ottoman Empire which exhibits a number of mobility in the name of modernization, in the 19th century, he sent some painters out of the country to study art. The painters of the Republican era also follow this path, has become a milestone for our country in terms of acquiring new artistic techniques. We can say that painters like Abidin Elderoğlu were the first to show in their works the contemporary social phenomenon in Turkish art of painting. The best way to understand the concept of art is by analyzing works of art. E.Panofsky’s Iconographic analysis is to establish a relationship between the topic and concept, to discover stories and allegories by analyzing the imagined impressions. Iconological analysis is to determine, the era in which the work of art was made, its historical characteristics, the personality of the artist and the effects of that era on the work or art.
