DEPENDENCE OF THE FORMAL-GRAMMATICAL ORGANIZATION OF A SIMPLE SENTENCE ON INTONATION CHARACTERISTICS

Abstract
The subject of study is dependence of the formal-grammatical organization of a simple sentence on intonation characteristics. The purpose of the proposed article is to trace the dependence of the formal-grammatical structure of a monosyllable nominative sentence on the intonational characteristics as determinative for the communicative level. The proposed article focuses attention on the need to determine the specifics of the relations of different levels of the organization of the sentence, which is a multidimensional syntactic unit. The problem of correlation of the formal-grammatical and communicative structures of the simple sentence is raised, namely, the dependence of the formal-grammatical organization of the sentence on intonation characteristics such as pausing, logical (phrase) stress, and increasing / decreasing intonation is affirmed. Observation of linguistic material makes it possible to establish the fact that some formally similar syntactic structures will have different formal-grammatical organization due to unequal intonation characteristics with actual expression sharing. Particularly indicative in this regard are some types of syntactic structures, which, depending on the nature of intonation and pausing, will have signs of single-component nominative or two-part sentences. The correlation of the formal grammatical and communicative levels of single-component indicative nominative and widespread existential nominative with two-composite complete sentences is vividly presented. The prospect of the research is the possibility to show the dependence of structural features of other types of single-component nominative sentences on exclamation and interrogative intonation, which is widely represented in nominative sentences and, accordingly, is a reflection of the communicative-pragmatic attitudes of the speaker.
